I noticed that some of the movies on Netflix have “Instant Queue” and some don’t. For those that don’t it says “Also Available on DVD”. Which I’m guessing you have to subscribe to their DVD rental subscription too. Is there any way to watch those DVDs on Netflix without having to rent them and receive them in the mail?

It kind of comes down to which plan you have with Netflix. There are two basic options for Netflix DVD viewing: By DVD player or via live streaming. The DVD by mail plans allow customers to get DVDs by mail, which they can then play in DVD players, DVD-compatible console gaming devices, or computers with DVD drives.

Some movies and shows can be viewed via streaming. Customers who have the Netflix streaming plan can stream movies offered online and other content live to their computer, set-top device like Roku, or their streaming game console. No physical DVDs are ever in customer hands with the streaming option.
