I have heard about Google TV but I really don’t know much about this particular set up. Can someone explain how it works, what they offer, what they charge, how you get it, and what you need to have to use Google TV?

    Thanks.

Well, if you want your TV to behave like a Smart TV, there are a few ways of doing it.

A few years ago Logitech and Sony created a few products, lets call them “digital media receivers” that you can connect to an HDMI input on your TV.

You must also connect them to the internet, and sometimes to your cable or sat STB.

This way, using a remote control (provided of course) you can surf the net, or see contents from Youtube on your standard TV.

Also, you have some capability to rent or buy contents from some providers.

Today, a Roku box, or an Apple TV, are the best ways to get contents from the net, not a Google compatible box (or TV). :)
