I just started my trial offer from Netflix and am looking for some new shows and movies to watch that they have. I really like shows like 24 and suspenseful movies but I can’t find just a whole bunch from my recommended cue from Netflix right now.

Are you accessing Netflix from a computer or some other device? There’s different interfaces for different devices… and different ways of seeing finding things, too.

First thing to try is searching for specific titles, and add them to you “instant watch queue”. Netflix recommends things based on what you’ve watched, what’s in your queue, and your ratings for what you watch… so make sure you rate movies.

Adding to what the enlightened one said, once you start watching a couple of Netflix movies and shows, they’ll recommend based on your previous selections and they’re pretty good at it too.

If you’re actually looking for new stuff some of our favorites that I can recall

    TV Shows
    Scrubs
    Archer (Adult oriented show)
Sons of Anarchy (Good motorcycle show)
Mad Men (One of my favorites, takes place in the 60’s about advertising execs and how businesses were ran)
The Office UK (Pretty funny for a British show)

    Movies
The Big Lebowski (Great movie but not kid friendly)
Casino (Pacino, Pesci need I say more?)
Pulp Fiction (A must watch if you haven’t seen it yet)
Iron Man 2 (Big fan of the series but part 2 is my favorite)
    The Groomsmen

The dude on TBL, best role for Jeff Bridges ever. Roku Guru’s avatar kind of looks like him.
